EL Colacho, The Baby Jumping Festival, in Spain

Spain is an incredible place to teach English and travel, especially during June. One of the reasons Spain is so exciting is because of the many unique festivals held each year. One unique festival is El Colacho, which will be held on June 18 in Castrillo de Murcia, Spain. This festival also known as The Baby Jumping Festival has existed since the 1620s. Men dressed in yellow and red jump over babies. The men symbolize evil and when they jump over the babies they are making sure evil leaves them. Find out more about this festival here.
