8 Websites for Children to Learn English by Jump Roping and Clapping

jump-2594_960_720One way to get young learners to practice English when they leave the classroom is to teach them English songs and chants. Children can learn jump roping chants and clapping games they can play with friends outside of your class. Chants are great for learning vocabulary and grammar structures.  The chants are simple to learn and repeat a phrase or sentence to help young language language learners practice tenses or to learn homophones. Clapping and jump roping also help students learn English using Total Physical Response (TPR), where our bodies move while we say words. Students also learn coordination and how to work with other students. Below are websites to discover fun chants for your young language learners. For more ideas and resources, check out our webinar recording, Chants and Rhymes for Language Learners.
