Taipei, nicknamed the City of Azaleas, is a metropolis on the Island of Taiwan that has a very high standard of living. Taipei city is divided into 12 districts with one central department that focuses on environmental policies. This has allowed Taipei City to make sustainable steps at an impressive rate. Recently, Waipu Eco park opened Taiwan’s first biomass energy plant, which will produce electricity from old food. Teachers love Taipei City, not just for its economical policies, but also for recreation, warm weather, modern architecture, and good paying jobs.
