Some teachers are tempted to begin in China because of the shear number of options. <a title=\"Teaching English Abroad in China - Jobs, News, &amp; Certification\" href=\"https:\/\/americantesol.com\/teach-in-China.htm\">Finding a job<\/a> will not be a problem, and even one where you will be able to live comfortably and save money is quite common. Working visas are easily attained for employment, and although positions can be found year round, if you want to teach in a public school, it\u2019s best to start applying in May and June.<\/p>\n<p>The People\u2019s Republic of China is the world\u2019s most populated country with over 1.35 billion citizens, and the second largest in land area spanning over 9.6 million square kilometers. China is a sovereign state located in East Asia and has very diverse topography, being home to both the Forest Steppes and the Taklamakan Deserts. China\u2019s history is one of the world\u2019s oldest, and dates back to ancient civilizations. Its economic history also spans thousands of years, and weaves a story of both prosperity and poverty. In 2013, China was the world\u2019s second largest economy, and one of the fastest growing.
