English is one out of eleven national languages, so high-paying positions are very competitive, and found in larger cities or at private institutions. There is always a need for volunteers in the rural areas. If you would like to work in the public school system you will need to register as an educator through the South Africa Center For Education or (SACE), this process includes proving that you are a permanent resident.<\/p>\n<p>South Africa lies at the southern tip of Africa and is bordered by Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Mozambique and Swaziland. With over 53 million people this multiethnic society has a wide variety of cultures, languages, and religions. Now often referred to as the Rainbow Nation, South Africa\u2019s unique multicultural character is woven into its national identity.
