A QR, or Quick Response code, is a type of matrix barcode designed to be read by smartphones. The code contains black modules arranged in a square pattern on a white background. The information encoded may be text, a URL, or other data. To use QR codes, you will need to have a smartphone, and download an application that allows you to scan the code. Teachers are using QR codes in their classroom to allow students easy access to content, create e-portfolios, and issue assignments.
