American TESOL Institute Opens at China Agricultural University

  Courses for American TESOL certification open at China Agricultural University   beginning October of 2011. Lucia Zhi (郅红) is director for TESOL programs at CAU.   China Agricultural University is located in Beijing, which is the capital of the   People's Republic of China, and one of the most populous cities in the world.

In China there are over 300 million English language learners under the Paramount Leader Hu Jintao. Better qualified English teachers are needed in the rural parts of China, as English is required for the gaokao (高考) or college entrance exam. In the Ningxia province of China the average score on English proficiency exams is 50 out of 120 points, where at-least 100 points is needed to get into a top school.
