About six hours by car from Beijing in the Shandong Province, Tai’an is situated on the side of Mount Tai, and is one of the five Great Mountains of China. A 7,200 step flight of stairs will take you to a peak where ancient temples have existed for thousands of years. Being one of China’s special destinations, there are numerous areas to visit such as the Immortal Bridge, Sun Viewing Peak, and the Lu-Viewing Platform where Confucius proclaimed “The world is small”. Having a population of over 5 million, there are an abundance of English teaching jobs offered in Tai’an and throughout the Province of Shandong.
