Adventures in Oxford, England

Thanksgiving is coming up and reminds us of the journey the Pilgrims took from England to the United States. England is an incredible country full of history, beautiful landscapes, and lovely people. One of my favorite places to visit is Oxford, England, which is a short bus trip or train ride from London. In Oxford, you can relax at the historic Eagle & Child pub, which was a regular hangout for famous authors, such as JRR Tolkien and CS Lewis. If you are a Harry Potter fan, then you will want to visit the locations where the movies were filmed. These locations are at some of the most prestigious colleges in Oxford. Many famous writers, Nobel winners, actors, and inventors attended or taught at these colleges. In fact, over 50 Nobel winners are from Oxford University. Near the colleges are museums, parks, pubs, and eclectic shops.
