TESOL Webinar – Teaching the Olympics, Ideas & Resources

Olympic RingsThe Olympic Game Movement is the Worlds premier sporting event which brings together over 200 nations for the glory of competition. The Olympic logo is five intertwined rings which represent the unity of five inhabited continents, America, Africa, Asia, Australasia, and Europe. The Olympic motto is Citius, Altius, Fortius, a Latin expression meaning “Faster, Higher, Stronger”.

The ideological archetype of the Olympic Games is to recognize the struggle of the most dedicated contenders, just as victory in life is the satisfaction of the struggle to be the best you can be, as opposed to who you can beat.
