This rapidly developing country attracts many teachers for its efficiency, exotic adventures and large range of job opportunities. The government has begun a public campaign to get English into the classrooms and this has created a large demand for English teachers in cities like Ipoh, Kuala Lumpur, and George Town. Starting with the private schools will garner the best wages and surprisingly, universities are not usually highly paid positions. You should expect your employer to help with your working permits and visas. The Peak hiring times are in January and February but you should be able to find positions year-round.
