For four years I lived and taught in Stuttgart, Germany. Of course, Oktoberfest is the most famous celebration in Germany. The most popular events are in Munich, but Stuttgart has one of the top Oktoberfest celebrations as well. At both places you celebrate by attending a carnival with rides, food, drinks and games. These carnivals can be attended by children and adults. There are also tents filled with music, dancing on the tables, and huge glasses of beer with plenty of Germans dressed in the traditional lederhosen and dirndl.
