Getting young learners of English to practice speaking can be tough! The key is motivation. Try motivating children to speak with games, finger plays, songs, chants, and hand clap games. Another way is to use puppets. Children are less shy answering if a puppet is involved because the puppet is the one who makes the mistakes. Another way to motivate young learners to practice English is with web tools and apps. Below, is a list of over 20 free web tools and apps we recommend for motivating children to speak. To learn about speaking activities for children and discover more about these tools, attend our free Friday webinar on February 12th, Motivating Children to Speak English!
