One of the best parts of teaching English abroad is going on adventures and being introduced to different traditions and beliefs. One of the best places I visited was Thailand. I was able to explore various temples, which I had never done before in the US. I remember the tour guide telling me that the people in Thailand chose to believe in a happy religion. I found the people in Thailand to be very welcoming, kind, and full of joy.
I was surprised to see modern influences at the Temples. Some of the monks had mobile phones as well as the tourists. Thailand was an incredible experience and I can’t wait to visit again. Check out this article featuring the 10 Best Temples in Thailand for more information.
