The Ati-Atihan Festival is the Philippines’ Version of Mardi Gras

The Ati-Atihan Festival is held annually on the island of Kalibo, Aklan in the Philippines. The Mardi Gras like event is held in honor of the Santo Niño. This year the event takes place from January 15 to 21st. The festivities include tribal dances, traditional music, and a parade of people dressed in indigenous costumes. concluding on the third Sunday, in the island and town of Kalibo, Aklan in the Philippines.
