Recently we invited language teacher, Kai Smith (@KaiPrettygirl), to introduce us to Shekou, Shenzhen, China.
Shelly: Which events are a must for visitors?
Kai Smith: Visitors should visit Splendid China & Windows of the World and spend the Chinese New Year in Hong Kong just a short ferry ride away.
Shelly: What are popular local dishes?
Kai Smith: Shenzhen is a new city (about 30 years) so I haven’t experienced a traditional dish but the cold cucumbers with spicy sauce are awesome.
