Ghode Jatra is the grand horse parade that is held in Tundikhel, Kathmandu, Nepal. The horse parade is organized by the Nepal Army and police to ward off the demon, Tundi, which is believed to live underground at Tundikhel. This annual horse race is the way horses trample on the demon and prevent him from rising again. This year the horse parade takes place March 27th. Find out more here.
