American TESOL Institute is part of the Internexus Education Network, a consortium of global education leaders offering accredited TESOL and ESL programs worldwide.

American TESOL Institute is internationally accredited through the United Nations Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), a government agency tasked to manage vocational education. TVET, or technical and vocational education and training, is part of the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) which aims to contribute to the building of a culture of peace, the eradication of poverty, sustainable development, and intercultural dialogue through education, the sciences, culture, communication, and information.

American TESOL Institute's online TESOL certification course has been evaluated and recommended for college credit by The American Council on Education's College Credit Recommendation Service. (ACE CREDIT)

American TESOL Institute has been recognized by both the Florida VA for conducting licensing and certification exams, and by the Georgia Department of Education to provide continuing education units.
